We are pleased to announce some special news: The open source version of camfire.team is now live. This follows the example of EGOCMS, which was released as an open source project under the GPLv3 licence at the beginning of the year (see blog article).
A brief look back
We released EGOCMS, our content management system, as open source software at the beginning of 2025. Since then, developers, companies and organisations have been able to use, adapt and jointly develop the source code. The community is growing steadily and benefits from transparency, flexibility and collaborative innovation.
camfire.team - The second OSS application from EGOTEC AG
camfire.team is the second EGOTEC AG application to be published as open source software. We are thus continuing our conviction that open software is the key to an innovative and secure digital future. camfire.team offers secure, GDPR-compliant video conferencing with end-to-end encryption - and is now available to anyone who wants to join in.
