EGOCMS is software that is perfectly aligned with the Germany stack and supports it as a barrier-free, multi-client-capable system with AI integration. It covers the data, document and interface layer and fulfils the central requirements of the stack. EGOCMS offers open REST interfaces and can output content in various formats.

The system check has been extended by some functions, such as the creation of a file from the last log or the possibility to start it via the console. Otherwise, the general error handling for all AI features has been improved and file templates can be restricted per client.

The latest features and improvements in EGOCMS include support for the new captcha provider ALTCHA, the ability to further restrict blocks in the client and the validation of page names. In addition, live synchronisation has been improved to ensure that files are only downloaded if they do not exist on the editorial server or are not identical. Some bug fixes have also been made to resolve issues with copying pages and recursive inheritance of permissions.

EGOCMS images can activate the PHP slowlog feature to analyse problems with long script execution times. Many bug fixes are also included, e.g. when handling language links and when creating release copies with Mediapool.

The update includes new placeholders for use in form e-mail templates, bug fixes for the creation of extra fields and bug fixes for the display of dialogues in various browsers.

The chatbot now supports the connection to IONOS and can optionally reduce the history. The system check desklet shows a graph with server load. Form checkboxes can specify a minimum number of selected checkboxes.

For IT managers in public institutions, universities and companies, the year 2026 will not bring any radical innovations, but rather a consolidation of existing regulations - with concrete effects on everyday life. The AI Act, the NIS2 Implementation Act, eIDAS 2.0 and the Data Act will come into force and present organisations with new compliance requirements, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital identities and data sovereignty.

EGOCMS version 26 is a rolling release, which means that it is possible to update to this version without migrating from the previous version. The new version brings some changes and improvements, such as support for PHP 8.5, Elasticsearch 9.2 and a new design for the admin area.
